Extend Your Brand Offline With 3 Key Marketing Materials
As Richard Branson once said "branding requires commitment" and this is a commitment to being consistent in your branding online and offline.
At iPages, we build websites which are professionally branded and beautifully designed. However, we all know that a business brand is more than just a website and a logo. Although having a website opens you up to a global audience, it is important that the face-to-face and other offline experiences of your brand are considered.
What can you do to ensure your brand is consistent offline as well as online? We asked our Creative Director for her top three offline marketing materials which must be consistent with an online presence.
1. Business Cards
Emma says "It may go without saying that Business Cards which are consistently branded with your online presence are essential. You are the most likely to be the point of contact for new and existing clients and their experience of your brand must be consistent from the first time they meet you. This means beautifully designed business cards are a must. It's a good idea to consider the letterhead design at this stage too even if you're not planning on sending out letters to customers as in today's paperless world, a 'letterhead' for your email is just as important"

Emma says "It may seem with your website having a global reach, that flyers are a dated tactic with a reach not much further than your local High Street. However, that doesn’t mean they don't get results. Make sure yours are practical for reading, keeping, and saving. Using them to put discount vouchers on is one way of encouraging people to hold on to them"

3. Everything Else
Emma says "Okay so I lied, I cannot name three top offline marketing materials as it is just essential that all your business materials are consistent with your brand. Whether this is leaflets, notelets, packaging materials, stickers, shop window signs, shop bags etc. - everything else must be branded correctly. For example, stickers are a quick and easy way to extend your branding into your packaging and improve your customer experience.
Packaging is one of the best opportunities you have to communicate with your customers and remind them why they should be shopping with you instead of somewhere else. A well thought out, protected, and nicely presented package that arrives on time or sooner will likely make your customer feel confident that you are a professional business owner that cares about the products you sell and your customers."
